Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Storyline

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a manic, visually explosive, and kinetic comic book thrill ride directed with gothic flair by Andy Serkis, plunging Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote partner into an apocalyptic clash against one of Marvel's most notoriously bloodthirsty villains. Still adjusting to their chaotic domestic coexistence inside Eddie's cluttered San Francisco apartment, Eddie and Venom find themselves locked in ceaseless squabbling: Eddie seeks to revive his respectable journalistic reputation through journalistic restraint, while Venom yearns to roam free and violently devour criminals. Eddie receives a monumental journalistic career lifeline when the notorious death-row serial killer Cletus Kasady insists on granting him exclusive final interviews at San Quentin State Prison, weaving cryptic rhymes that secretly reveal the clandestine burial sites of his victims. During their tense, volatile final confrontation prior to Kasady's scheduled lethal injection, Kasady provokes a violent physical altercation and bites Eddie's hand, unknowingly ingesting a mutated fragment of the alien symbiote into his bloodstream. At execution, the foreign genetic pathogen bonds with Kasady's homicidal psyche, violently birthing Carnage—a towering, crimson, tentacled behemoth equipped with razor-sharp scythes and pure sociopathic sadism. After orchestrating a fiery prison massacre and breaking out his mutant beloved Frances Barrison (Shriek) from Ravencroft, Kasady embarks on a murderous rampage, targeting Eddie, Anne, and the entire city. Realizing that neither can survive alone, Eddie and Venom reconcile their domestic differences, forging an unyielding bond to face their deadly crimson offspring in a gothic cathedral showdown. Brimming with frenzied energy and a mind-bending multiverse teaser, the film is pure symbiotic spectacle.
