DC League of Super-Pets

Storyline

DC League of Super-Pets is a delightfully witty, heartwarming, and vibrant animated superhero comedy directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, providing an inventive, pet-centric perspective on the iconic lore of the Justice League. The story centers on Krypto the Superdog, Superman’s loyal, pampered, and deeply devoted canine companion who escaped the doomed planet Krypton as a puppy alongside baby Kal-El. Endowed with the same godlike superpowers as the Man of Steel—including flight, laser vision, and invulnerability—Krypto’s sheltered life of crime-fighting luxury is thrown into sudden disarray when Superman begins falling in love with Lois Lane, causing Krypto severe anxieties of emotional abandonment. The stakes become catastrophically real when an ambitious, telekinetic hairless guinea pig named Lulu, once experimented upon in LexCorp laboratories, harnesses orange kryptonite to imbue herself and an eccentric band of shelter animals with devastating superpowers, successfully kidnapping Superman and the entire Justice League. Stricken by green kryptonite that strips away his superhuman gifts, Krypto must humble himself and forge an unlikely alliance with a motley crew of shelter pets who have gained accidental powers: Ace the indestructible hound, PB the size-shifting pig, Merton the lightning-fast turtle, and Chip the electric squirrel. Through chaotic training regimens, hilarious superhero misadventures, and poignant lessons on unconditional loyalty, Krypto learns that true heroism stems not from alien physiology, but from the unyielding devotion of an open heart. Featuring energetic voice performances from Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart alongside Keanu Reeves as Batman, the film is an uplifting, action-packed celebration of friendship, adoption, and family bonds.
