Arjun Ashokan

Arjun Ashokan is an acclaimed Indian film actor working primarily in Malayalam cinema, celebrated for his exceptional range, effortless versatility, and captivating screen presence that seamlessly navigates between lighthearted comedy, intense drama, and psychological dread. The son of legendary veteran Malayalam comedy actor Harisree Ashokan, Arjun forged his own distinct artistic path rather than resting on familial laurels. He made his on-screen debut with a small role in Orkut Oru Ormakoot (2012), followed by a breakthrough performance in Soubin Shahir's critically lauded coming-of-age drama Parava (2017 as Hakeem). Arjun quickly cemented his status as one of Malayalam cinema's most dependable young stars through standout performances in B.Tech (2018), Varathan (2018 as a sinister antagonist), Unda (2019 alongside Mammootty), Super Sharanya (2022), and the critically praised drama Jan.E.Man (2021). In 2023, Arjun delivered one of the defining performances of his career in Jithu Madhavan's horror comedy blockbuster Romancham, playing Sinu Solomon—the eccentric, socially peculiar friend who arrives at the bachelor house and claims to speak directly with the spirit Anamika. His chilling nocturnal sleepwalking, dead-eyed stares, and sudden manic laughter became the catalyst for the film's most spine-tingling and hilarious moments. In 2024, Arjun earned universal critical acclaim starring alongside Megastar Mammootty in Rahul Sadasivan's period folk horror masterpiece Bramayugam, where his nuanced portrayal of the trapped court singer Thevan solidified his reputation as a powerhouse performer of modern Indian cinema.
